I usually rinse my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher so it doesn’t get that dirty. But it’s still a good idea to give it a deep clean every so often.
I started by emptying the clean dishes out of the machine and then gave the seal a wipe with a cloth sprayed with vinegar.
I then took out the filter and soaked it in soapy water and give it a gently scrub.
Next I poured a cup of vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher and sprinkled baking soda on top. I then set the dishwasher to wash at a high temperature for 40 minutes.
Finally I filled the rinse aid compartment with white vinegar – this works just as well, if not better, than rinse aid.
